Apple Pie Tradition at the Capital

I made my first ever gluten, dairy and egg free pies. The above taken just before baking. The photo below just came out of the oven. Doesn't this look scrumptious! I just had to make one for my mom and myself. When we make pies for the Apple Pie Tradition at the Capitol, it's quite the process and very rewarding knowing our pies along with others will be delivered to 182 legislators, other elected officials and government staff.

We made these pies that were delivered to the 155 legislators during the homeschoolers Day at the Capitol. The pie crust and apple filling recipes came from America's Test Kitchen Cookbook. They sure are tasty.
