Christ Arose ! !

Christ Arose

Low in the grave He lay,
Jesus my Savior,
Waiting the coming day,
Jesus my Lord!

Chorus:
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch His bed,
Jesus my Savior;
Vainly they seal the dead,
Jesus my Lord!

Chorus:
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Death cannot keep its prey,
Jesus my Savior;
He tore the bars away,
Jesus my Lord!

Chorus:
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes,
He arose a victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever, with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Written by Robert Lowry, 1826 - 1899.

Christ Is Risen Form The Dead ! ! ! !

Christ is Risen from the Dead.

Christ is risen from the dead
He is risen as He said!
Never, since the heavens rang
With the song angels sang
On the morning of His birth,
Had such gladness come to earth;
Quickly were the tidings spread:
Christ in risen from the dead!

Gone the garden agony,
Dreadful death of Calvary,
Gone the hours of hopeless gloom
While He lingered in the tomb;
Like the waking, did it seem,
From a terrifying dream
Now what rapturous joy instead:
Christ is risen from the dead!

Christian brothers, shout and sing
Death has lost its ancient sting!
Christ, the crucified before,
Is alive for ever more!
Grave, where is thy victory now?
See the light upon His brow!
Empty, see, the stony bed;
Christ is risen from the dead!

Heirs of glory, thru His grace,
Tears be dried from every face!
Be your hearts no longer sad,
On this Easter day be glad!
Faith and hope are not in vain
You are born to live again!
Every soul be comforted;
Christ is risen from the dead!

Written by Thomas O. Chisholm, 1866 - 1960.

Christ The Lord Is Risen Today . . . .

Christ the Lord Is Risen Today.

Christ the Lord is ris'n today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heav'ns, and earth reply, Alleluia!
Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Dying once He all doth save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!

Love's redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids Him rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!
Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Foll'wing our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

Hail the Lord of earth and heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to Thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail the Resurrection, thou, Alleluia!
King of glory, soul of bliss, Alleluia!
Everlasting life is this, Alleluia!
Thee to know, Thy power to prove, Alleluia!
Thus to sing, and thus to love, Alleluia!

Written by Charles Wesley 1707 - 1788.

When We See Christ

When We See Christ

Often times the day seems long, our trials hard to bear,
We're tempted to complain, to mummer and despair;
But Christ will soon appear to catch His Bride away,
All tears forever over in God's eternal day.

Chorus
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Sometimes the sky looks dark with not a ray of light,
We're tossed and driven on, no human in sight;
But there is one in heaven who knows our deepest care,
Let Jesus solve your problems just go to Him in prayer.

Chorus
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small  when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Life's day will soon be over, All storms forever past,
We'll cross the great divide to glory, Safe at last;
We'll share the joys of heaven a harp, a home, a crown,
The tempter will be banished, We'll lay our burden down.

Chorus
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Written by Ester Kerr Rusthoi 1909 - 1962.

I like this hymn because we can always turn to Jesus when we are going through trials and lay our burden down before him.

The Knights of Arrethtrae

This series, called The Knights of Arrethtrae books, was also written by Chuck Black. There are characters who represent followers of the Lord versus followers of evil. Also, written during the Middle Ages time period and full of adventure, honor, and pursuit of truth. We collected the audio cd's as well.
My family loves this series as well.

The Kingdom Books

The Kingdom books were written by Chuck Black. These stories represent allegories of the bible with a lot of action, character, and honor. The stories are written during the Middle Age time period. As a family, we have collected the audio cd's for each of the books. We have recommended these readings and found people to be pleased, no matter the ages.

Jonathan Park

These audio cd's teach about creation, science, and have adventure in them. We are pleased with this series because they have the families working together and they follow the Lord.
Another favorite among my family members.

Books For Advent and Ester

These books were written by Arnold Ytreeide.
The first three books are to be read for Advent and the book Amon's Adventure is for Easter.
My family and I love reading these books. My dad reads them aloud to the family.

God's Sunset

Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
Psalm 119: 105

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?
Psalm 27: 1

Here are the pictures of the sunset that I promised.

So Much More

So Much More was written by Anna Sofia and Elizabeth Botkin.
I have started reading this book and I think that it is very good book to read if you want to change and give God the glory.

The Viking Quest Series

These books were written by Lois Walfrid Johnson. The setting of the story is during the Vikings time period. You see the faith of the female character strengthen, and she influences the captives and Vikings around her. I've recommended this series and found other people are just as pleased with this series. This is another family favorite.

Beautiful Sky

I took these pictures one evening when we had a beautiful sunset. ( I will post pictures of the sunset latter).
These clouds that surround the sunset add a beautiful dimension to the sunset.
