Wilhelm
Friedemann Bach
Wilhelm Friedemann Bach was the eldest child
of J. S. Bach. He was born on November 22nd, 1710 in Weimar,
Germany. Friedemann’s teachers were his father J S. Bach and Graun.
Friedemann's students included Johann Nikolaus Forkel, and his younger brother
Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Friedemann married Dorothea Elisabeth Georgi (1751),
she outlived him by seven years. Together they had two sons and a daughter,
Friederica Sophia (born in 1757), who was the only one of their offspring to
live past infancy. Friedemann died July 1st, 1784 in Berlin,
Germany.
